I purchased a product DRY Iron ESRA on 14/07/2013 from Bharti Walmart Jammu, with sr. no S408041300852. The product is under Guarantee for two years. The plate did not heat after nearly one month of usage. We tried calling the nos. provided in the guarantee booklet but did not get any response.We took the product to Bharti Walmart and they said the product can not be replaced since forst it has to be send to the service center. We took the product to service center from Katra to Jammu travelling 48 km. At the service center Mr. Sharma told that the product’s sole plate will be replaced and the product can not be replaced. He asked us to come on 7/10/13. We send for collecting the product on 12/10/13 the service center said that the company has not supplied the sole plate. we asked it to be replaced since it is in guarantee, they said that it is not possible. We again went on 20/10/13 and got the same reply that company has not send the parts. We contacted the ASM Mr. Jitender Kohli and he asked us to call during working days since that day was Sunday. We said that we will complain regarding non caring attitude he said “Jao Consumer Forum Mein Hi Chale Jao.” Next day on 21/10/13 we received a call from company and the person said that he will confirm the problem and get the problem solved. He said that i should had made a call to the companies phone and I replied that the company’s phone mentioned on the guarantee booklet does not exist. Since then no one contacted and we have no whereabouts regarding the product. If in guarantee why cannot the product be replaced across the shelf.
Get the product replaced along with the compensation for travelling. The company officials may be fined for reluctant attitude. Also the company must stop writing “Guarantee” on the product.
