BSES connection Service Very Poor & Unprofessional

Hello, I am having BSES connection CA #101708847 On Aug 31, 2014 there was a SHORT CIRCUIT caused in MAIN SWITCH which led to FIRE in house. Luckily we were at home and controlled the fire in time. Otherwise our house would have turned to ashes. But BSES customer service has been very poor and unprofessional in this critical situation. Instead of ensuring customer safety and protecting the premises of the customer, they are willing to offer solutions inviting more short circuits and tragedy for customers and hence putting the life of customers at risk. I called customer service around 8 AM today and explained gravity of issue – Short circuit caused due to leakage of water in main-switch area. I requested for IMMEDIATE ATTENTION to resolve the issue and thereby avoid the occurrence of the fire again due to ongoing rains. I was given complaint number #183 by customer service executive on phone. Thereafter 2 men claiming to be from BSES came. Initially they refused to show their BSES ID card. After lot of insistence they showed ID card which had EXPIRED and had validity only till Jun 2014. However, as the matter was extremely serious I gave the permission to attend the problem. I was shocked at the level of maturity and resolution suggested by BSES engineer to solve this serious problem water leakage causing short circuit. They suggested to plug some piece of cloth to resolve the issue of water leakage?? After some discussion they said they would bring some cement and seal the source of leakage to the main switch. However, I have not heard back from any engineer thereafter. I tried reaching BSES again and was informed that my complaint # is 813 and NOT 183 (as given to me by earlier customer service executive). I called back again at 11:30 am and was given a new complaint number #2514. and later gave reminder number #2997. I am really not sure what is going on as I get INCONSISTENT responses from customer service phone number.

I have been without power for last 24 hours and want them to compensate me for this. I have been making timely payments by due date but this is the reward I get a citizen of Delhi for Electricity service. My whole house would have been burnt to ashes. I want them to fix the fault and seal any leakages to avoid future SHORT CIRCUITS and FIRE in my house.
