Dear Sir/madam, I am writing this regarding a billing issue in BSNL Dataone broadband service for the month of July 2014 & August-2014. I have been using Dataone broadband on my phone number 01475-230xxx for the past 10+ years. All over sudden on 25th August 2014 during online bill payment of month July-2014 (I regularly pay my bill on 25th day of month), I came to know that the night unlimited feature was withdrawn and I was migrated to another plan (BBG-FN-HOME-500 to BBG-CNT-500-MONTHLY) without my consent and acceptance for the new plan. I shocked to see the stunning amount of INR 9578.00 in my July-2014 bill and INR 8169.00 (Total INR 17747.00). My grievance pertains to the fact that this plan change (BBG-FN-HOME-500 to BBG-CNT-500-MONTHLY) was carried out without intimating the consumer. I have not received a single call, email or SMS on my registered numbers and mail IDs announcing this plan change. As a result, I assumed that the older plan was still in effect. This has resulted in an exorbitant amount of data to be charged, which I thought was free as per the old plan. As a loyal BSNL customer for many years, I have been paying my bills on time. But I have gone through immense agony due to this unannounced tariff change by BSNL. Therefore I would like BSNL to review the bills from 01/07/2014 to 25/08/2014 and calculate the bills using the old tariff because I was not intimated of the plan change. Since the July 2014 & August-2014 bill has been generated, kindly instruct the concerned department to rectify the bill and apply requisite rebates and adjustments up to 25th August 2014 (date when I came to know the above said change). I require your cordial assistance from your end to sort out this huge amount bill and also request to contact competent authority in this regard.
