Bullet Electra motorbike – Engine Problems – Review

Through this letter, I wish to express my extreme dissatisfaction and complaint towards the Bullet Electra motorbike which I had bought on 4 June 2014 having invoice no. INV0092141500198 from Garg Autos, Sec 32 ,Chandigarh. Although I wanted to buy the Standard 350 model but due to long waiting I was suggested by the dealer , Garg Autos, to go for the Electra model instead of Standard 350 model. Everything was going on fine and i got it serviced on time thrice. All of a sudden, on 3rd April 2015, I noticed a weird sound emanating from the engine. I immediately visited the workshop attached to Garg Autos and enquired about the matter. I was shocked to know that it was a sound produced by engine crank and it would require opening of the engine and getting it repaired. I requested them to replace engine to which they denied and told me to come on 6th April 2015. I also talked to Mr. Chandermani (Territory Service Manager located at Chandigarh office) about the same and he ensured me that he will take the necessary action and the bike will not give any problem in future. On 8th April 2015,I got my bike back and they charged me Rs.937 for it. Surprisingly, when I tested it, I heard the same sound and when I told their engineers about it they didn’t agree, and kept on saying it is a natural sound produced by the engine. I again talked to Mr Chandermani and he suggested me to get it checked form another workshop located at Manmohan Autos, Chandigarh. I visited Manmohan Autos on 9th April 2015, the very next day and I was appalled to know it was not the crank that was producing the sound rather it was kit above the engine, and according to them there was problem in it. They asked me to come on 13th April 2015 and leave the bike. On 15th April 2015 I again got it back and i was charged Rs.405 for it. This time, to my utter dissatisfaction, I came to know that the sound was still there and this time I was damn sure that it was the same sound which I noticed earlier, rather the more surprising thing was that they also denied the same way the Garg autos did while delivering the bike on 8th April 2015. I immediately contacted Mr Chandermani and he tried to procrastinate things by saying that he was out of station and would be returning to Chandigarh the next week only. He also assured to revert back to me but I didn’t hear from him the whole week. And finally when Mr. Chandermani got time and I visited Manmohan Autos on 7th May 2015 he along with service engineer checked my bike again they couldn’t deny the sound as it was louder now. They opened engine all over again (due to which engine is left with dents on it) and after getting my bike after two days it is still in same condition and sound is getting worse day by day. As usual they are denying the same. And Mr Chandermani is out of station again and there is no other person with whom I can discuss the problem.

All I want is a new bike with one year fresh warranty as so that i can claim warranty in case of problem again. I also want all four free services which are provided with new bike.
