Six ladies Kurtis purchased chipkart on 25 Oct 2014, under 1 for 1 free scheme, @ MRPs 1299, 899 and 499 respectively. Cash Memo No T1/00011942 (TIN No. 07610261309) issued for 2779, in which an extra entry of 132.35 was for VAT @5% was added by retailer. if the items have been sold at MRP and the scheme is 1 for 1 free, then why should extra VAT be charged. this was protested to by me, and the retailer didn’t agree to it. other customers also joined in, but we were to asked to leave without purchasing. had we done that, we wouldn’t have had any evidence of the retailer’s overcharging, plus an hour spent in choosing the garments would’ve been wasted. this is the point that the retailers are exploiting and cheating the customers.

a written apology from the retailer, and a refund of 132.
