On 28/09/2014 when I was going to my office I received a message that 1 $ has been spent on your citibank credit card, then I contacted Citibank customer care to check what’s happening and by that time second transaction has happend which was of 1,971.00 CNY (Rs.19988.92) from china and customer care executive told me about this second transaction. Both the transaction has happened with the physical card when I was in India and card was with me. I immediately blocked my card and Citi customer care executive told me “Dont worry sir we will raise a dispute against this and it will be settled after investigation” Then the transaction amount was removed from my account and everything was fine. Now suddenly after 3 months on 25/12/2014 I got a message that Rs. 19982.92 needs to be pay. When I again called customer care they were saying they know that first transaction happened in USA and Second transaction in China with the Physical card but s we have settled merchant’s amount it needs to be paid bt me. But the question is about my authentication. Did Citibank or merchant checked my sign on the slip ? I want to log a complaint about the same. Please advice.
