In Year 2010, we bought an apartment from Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida – Spa Court with a measured area of 1800 sq ft. As was notified/communicated by them, the super area was soon increased to 1950 sq ft without increase in built-up area. We understood, agreed and paid.
But after 3 yrs, we got possession letter notification but with an area that was further enhanced to 2153 Sq.Ft while built up area remaining same. No prior intimation,nothing. No request for consideration,no request for time, nothing was considered…we somehow managed to gather huge extra demand and paid since they threatened to cancel our possession.
The actual built up measurement of the apartment is around 1600 sq ft! Most of the properties are similarly and illegally enhanced by Jaypee group.
We did raise our protest with them but as a result they have begun to harass us at every step e.g. 1) after full payment, they with-held our possession letter and it took dozens of emails and phone calls over 1 month that they relented….2) Golf course activation – the membership came complimentary as per the rule but even after 1 month, they are not activating our membership (but they presented and credited annual membership fees cheque 3 weeks back)…despite dozens of request emails, dozens of phone calls, there is no response at all. Mr Gaurav Sharma, Manager – Sales has been withholding the application in his drawer for 1 month in the name of processes.
The Vice Chairman, Mr Manoj Gaur announced in a resident meeting that he neither will take call from a customer/resident nor respond to emails! So will his management and senior staff!! The group’s business is founded on illegal means, corrupt practices, deceit and what not and no wonder they behave like a mafia.
His senior and old staff – Mr KC Batra told us same thing when we asked him why we do not get any call back or response from him on raising our requests/concerns.
We live in another city and bought such expensive (we are middle class professionals in early 40s) with high hopes of settling down later in life but within months, feel totally harassed.
The management showcases goons in the form of security personnel at meetings and given very corrupt and unethical practices they used to accumulate the land, business and wealth, they will not flinch to harass people more and more.
We have a small association who has been planning to go to CCI against illegal and massive enhancement by Jaypee but most are afraid of repercussions and harassment at the hands of Jaypee Management. There are numerous other issues that residents face but to no avail.
Could you please help us with direction and help from legal body? Will greatly appreciate your help.
