Hello, I had subscribed for an annual issue of Cosmopolitan magazine (part of the India Today Group) in end March 2016. I paid Rs 1,800 for receiving 12 issues to my home address, and was even promised a special subscription gift. However, the group has been very unresponsive in following up with my repeated complaints regarding non-receipt of my magazine issue month after month. After repeated follow-ups, I managed to receive the May issue. I am yet to receive the magazine for June, July and August. I have also not received my special gift – when asked about that, they said they are out of stock. My last emails to them have gone unanswered, forcing me to look into alternative means like CORE to have my grievances looked into.

I have not received last 3 months’ issues of the magazine – a loss of Rs 450. Also, the free gift promised has not arrived – they claim they are out of stock. They should reimburse me for the subscription I had taken up. Even in the shop, a Cosmopolitan magazine costs Rs 150 per issue – for a year, it would have cost me Rs 1800. The only reason I took up the annual subscription offer was because of the attractive free gift they promised along with it.
