Dell India Pvt Ltd – New laptop not working

I have bought a new laptop from dell (online) and its under warranty for one year. When I opened my laptop first time, It doesn’t boot at all and I cannot see anything. Then Its started giving a beep sound. I checked it was too hot from the back of the laptop and and finally I can smell that there is something burning in the laptop. I shut it down at once and called the dell people to replace it (complaint id 880162632) but they say that it can’t be replaced and only part correction will be done, which is not acceptable as I am not able to even use it once.If a new laptop doesn’t work even for first time, it shows that the company doesn’t test anything and takes consumer lightly. I told them that I will lodge a complaint but even then they were OK with it, which shows that there is nothing to worry to them as nobody can do anything.

Bought it for around 29000 and it was a gift for my young brother for study purposes, however I was not able to handover it to him as it was not working. it troubled not only me but my brother too as it was required for important thesis work.I am afraid to open the laptop again as its smells like something is burning.

Replacement of my laptop. With the attitude of dell people, I dont think even that is possible
