I have purchased a Dell Inspiron 3521 laptop on 11.10.2013 from a retailer at Guwahati (Computer Heart, G R Kalita Complex,Near Sky Lab Building, Ulubari, Guwahati). While going for online product registration, it shows that the product is already registered on 29.08.2013 and warranty expiring on 29.08.2014 whereas I have purchased the product on 11.10.2013. I have talked to the customer service executives of Dell twice over phone at the toll free numbers (1800-425-2067) and they have suggested me to contact the retailer. I have contacted the retailer twice and also sent two emails on 19.10.13 and 25.10.13 (attached herewith) with all the details. I have informed Dell about the problem again on 05.11.13 by email (copy attached). They initially told me to contact the retailer but I informed them about the indifferent attitude of the retailer. Then someone from Dell telephoned me on the same day and assured me that they are looking into the matter and would resolve it shortly. Again I have visited the retailer on 14.11.13 and given a copy of the challan and they promised that would take up the matter with Dell and the problem would be resolved in 15 days. But the problem was not resolved. I again informed Dell about this vide my email dated 19.12.13 telling them that I would have to approach the consumer court if the problem is not resolved. But the company did not bother to reply to my mail or resolve the problem. Moreover, I was also told by the retailer at the time of purchase that one gift coupon of Rs.1000.00 and discount offer on Extended Warranty would be available at the time of online registration. I have been deprived of these offers as well. I have attached herewith the scanned copy of my emails and purchase voucher with a request to you to guide me in this regard.

Return of the laptop and monetary compensation equivalent to the price of the laptop (Rs.37990) for fraud and harassment caused to me by both the retailer and the company.
