I purchased Dell Laptop in 2010 with Service Tag:- 65N0CQ1 and express code – 13401672553 I purchased the laptop with genuine windows 7 Home basic edition. During warranty, i went to your Authorized service centre in Lajpat Nagar Delhi for a service complaint. There i was offered a free upgrade from Win 7 Home Basic to Win 7 Home Premium. I accepted it. Today in 2014 i was facing some software issues and hanging problem. When i contacted Dell Customer Support, They advised me to speak with Microsoft as this was a software related problem. I called Microsoft customer care and asked for a solution to the problem. Microsoft customer care asked for the product key number of windows software which i checked from the system and told them. “The representative told me that the windows installed in your laptop is not GENUINE and so he cannot help” I again called Dell customer care to complain regarding the same. The customer care people simply said ” Sir, you are out of Warranty and we cannot help but you speak with Lajpat Nagar service centre.” I called up the Lajpat Nagar Service Center. I told the Manager of the service Center regarding the whole story. Again manager said ” sir you are out of warranty. You will be charged 5000 Rs for reinstallation” and since the stafff here has changed we can do nothing. Sir, i know that my laptop is out of warranty but the CHEATING DONE BY DELL Authrized SERVICE CENTRE WAS done when my laptop was under WARRANTY. HAd i known at that time that the service centre is installing a pirated software, i would not have accepted his offer. I mailed Dell regarding same on 18 Sept, 19th Sept but all they have to say is that they are not responsible for what happened Inspite of accepting their mistake they are asking me to prove that their employee did all this. to this i asked Mr. Sujoy(from Dell) do you have any proof that your employee has not done this mischief? He had no answer He again asked me do you have any proof that windows installed in your system is pirated? I said yes microsoft confirmed me over call He was again quiet He said sorry sir you are out of warranty we cannot help
I want my genuine software that came with my laptop( i have original CD with me) to be re installed in my laptop. I do-not know how to install it. Kindly ask dell engineer to install that windows in my system If possible cover for my lost business worth 5 lacs And cancel license of DELL who donot dare to fool its customer in future
