My name is Rahul and my phone number is 9007XXX1787. I couriered 7 rakhi (from my wife to her brothers) with chocolates from DTDC on 4th of Aug, 2016. The gentleman at the DTDC counter is named Vijay Malakar and is a nice person. I have been using DTDC because of his courteous nature and quick response. Unfortunately, this time, out of 7 only 5 rakhis were delivered intact. Remaining two Rakhis reached without the chocolates. It was embarrassing for us and we feel cheated by a company like DTDC. Each chocolate costed around Rs. 100, and there were 5 chocolates altogether in two packets (3+2). It was found that the envelope was opened en route, was tampered and sealed back. The chocolates were stolen. When I contact the company the Vijay’s manager said that he can’t help since the courier has been delivered. The cost is less, but the fact remains that DTDC is cheating customers and stealing stuff they shouldn’t. The reason I make this complaint is the hope that somebody will help me get justice. The total cost was around 500/- but the embarrassment make is much worse. I am not able to digest the fact that they can just steal from the customers. The courier cost was 80+30 = 110. Overall the damage was 610/- rupees, but due to the emotional aspects, there was a lot of tension between me and my wife. I want the responsible people punished if possible, and I want my money back including the courier fees.
