Respected Sir, I have sent a EMS Speed Post bearing Consignment No. EE010364827BH from Bahrain on 27.11.2013 to Thiruvananthapuram which contained the originals of three visit visas for my father, sister and brother-in-law. They had booked tickets to visit to Bahrain by early morning flight on 11.12.2013. I have relied on EMS Speed Post with the belief that the same would be delivered within a maximum of 5 days. Original visa was required to be submitted at the Immigration at Bahrain International Airport on their arrival on 11.12.2013. Till date (10.12.2013 – the travel date being early morning of tomorrow), the packet is not delivered. I have raised complaints at Bahrain Post, Cathay Pacific (the airliner) and now with India Post. On 8.12.2013, I got a response from Bahrain Post informing me that the consignment is lying at Customs Office in Mumbai.

Taking the expenses I incurred on replacement visas, my back and forth telephone expenses into consideration, I request a compensation of Rs. 10,000 only.
