Eureka Forbes AMC Not Honored

I have an annual maintenance contract with Eureka Forbes Limited for servicing and maintaining my Water Purifier. Every year I pay Rs.4350/- in advance to get the system serviced. Some of the parts like the pressure pump is damaged around 6 months back and the tank was overflowing even though the power is cut off. The solution offered was to fold the inlet hoses and keep it folded using a rubber band. After doing this for sometime the inlet hoses were broken and water was leaking. The service engineer promised to replace the pressure pump in a week, but that was never done. The system was working and serving water with manual intervention. For the last two weeks the water is filled drop by drop and virtually the system has stopped functioning. The following communications were made with the company customer care: 1. Called 0471-3014654 at 10:02 AM on 05-Jan-2015 and requested for a service. The service request number given was 79753674. I was promised the service engineer will contact me in 24 hours.

On the same day called the service engineer directly at 10:07 AM, he said he is not available due to some personal emergency. Waited for three days and called 0471-3014654 at 10:31 AM on 08-Jan-2015, got the response that the system will be attended on the same day itself. 4. Called 0471-3014654 at 10:59 AM on 09-Jan-2015, got the response that the system will be attended on the same day itself. 5. Called 0471-3014654 at 17:58 PM on 09-Jan-2015, got the response that the system will be attended in an hour. 6. Called the service engineer directly, he came and serviced the machine after two days, and told that they will not provide any futher service. 7. The system was leaking since then. Registered a complaint again on 14-Jan-2015. Nobody attended the request. 8. Again registred a new complaint 80330417 on 19-Feb-2015, again no service is provided until now. Request the consumer protection forum to take necessary actions for non-committal of the service contract, engaging into a service contract when parts of the product is not available. Seeking compensation for the inconvenience caused and requesting the refund of the service contract amount.

Refund of amount paid Rs.4350/- for service contract for the period 02-Apr-2014 to 01-Apr-2015. 2. Compensation of Rs.25000/- for the economic and physical damage caused.
