My Wife was admitted in the hospital for LSCS on 19/Feb/2014. We got admitted at 0630 hrs & at 1600 Hrs it was decided by Dr. Shilpa Ghosh to carry out LSCS as normal delivery wasn’t possible. I received a call from you reception to deposit additional amount immediately & till that time operation will not be carried out. Earlier in the morning i had already deposited INR 30000/- as an advance. Finally on the discharge day i.e on 22/Feb/2014, we cleared all the due in the morning time itself but we left hospital around 1500 hrs due to time taken for dressing to my wife. I had to shout at reception in order to get the dressing done by the doctor. In the end i ended up paying more than INR 71000/- & i had to sit with your billing department people to correct the bill as unnecessary charges were charged to me. Again on 28/Feb/2014 around 2030 Hrs, i came to hospital to get my son checked up as recommended by Dr. Harish in the discharge summary & upon seeing him, as a precautionary measure, he immediately admitted my son which i don’t mind. But Double Surface Phototherapy was recommended alongwith some other investigations. Some investigations were carried out & Bilirubin level level was found around 9 & this report came to Dr. Harish around 2330 Hrs. Based on the report, my son should have been discharged immediately but kept in the NICU. In the morning around 0800 Hrs i received call from Dr. harish mentioning that my son is alright & will be discharged immediately to my relief. But we were freed by 1015 hrs from your hospital . When i checked the bill , there were many irregularities observed again & which i got rectified but no justification was given for “Double Surface Phototherapy”. Any way i again paid around around INR 9000/- & finally reached my home around 1500 hrs. Upon checking the discharge summary, i came to know that “Single Surface Phototherapy” was given to my son which i immediately informed to Ms. Kiran in Billing department & she informed me to come to Hospital to discuss & settle the issue. I came to Hospital on 03/Mar/2014 around 1900 hrs (Already had intimated to Ms. Kiran during our telecon earlier), but couldn’t find her in the office but instead of her some Mr. Vivekananda was available & was very rude. He finally called Ms. kiran & when i spoke to her, she informed me that all the documents have been corrected & i can collect it from Nursery In nutshell they informed me that In discharge summary their is a mistake but actually “Double Surface Phototherapy” was given to my son. I was charged for full day but my son was kept for 12 hrs only in the Hospital due to which i am unable to claim to my TPA.
