Expedia.co.in – Hotel not booked amount taken advance

I have made a booking with Expedia.co.in with Itinerary no. 12678493845 for Hotel Rajdarshan at Udaipur from 15 to 17 Aug-14 on 11-Aug-14. I have double checked with expedia and their customer care representatives have confirmed that booking is confirmed and they have received confirmation from HOTEL.I have contacted with hotel in the morning of 12-Aug-14 and they have told me that hotel does not have any booking in my name and hotel does not have any tie-up with Expedia. Then I have called their customer care executive and explained the issue, their person has put my call on hold. Call was on hold for more than 30 minutes and no one turned-up. Then again I have called their customer care and now this person told me that hotel has not confirmed the booking. This has come as a surprise to me , when I have checked twice with Expedia, I was told that booking has been confirmed . Further after informing me that hotel has not confirmed the booking, their executive has told me that he is transferring my call to relocation department and they will provide the alternate property, this time again my call was put on hold for 30 minutes and finally I have to end the call. Also when I was booking in Rajdarshan hotel, I was told by executive of Expedia.co.in that this is a pay later option, but immediately 9071.12 INR was deducted from my account and even after more than 15 days my money has not BEEN returned.I have called their customer care center a number of times but every time they are asking me to call some other time as representative of hotel is not available. I have been mentally tortured and even today I don’t know when my money will be returned.

I want my money back and compensation as well so that expedia.co.in must learn that they should not cheat consumers like this.
