Ford Ikon Diesel – Frequent failure of critical parts un-repairable

I stay at Haldia, an industrial town 120 Km from Kolkata. I had bought Car-Ford Ikon Diesel , Registration no—WB06B3418 in August-2009 from Ganges Ford, Kolkata. The experience of FORD is quite unsatisfactory basically because there has been frequent failure of critical parts of the car and most of which are un-repairable and needs replacement. The replacement costs are also very high. I drive the car myself and till date there has not been any major accident, but still critical parts are failing regularly. Till date three nos fuel injectors, suspension, radiator hose, power steering pump, steering rack have failed. I have already incurred more than Rs 1,70,000/- as replacement / repair costs. The latest in the list as per the Ganges Ford officials is the high pressure diesel pump which is priced at Rs 40000/-. I have not considered the normal consumable items such as battery, lights and similar items. The car is not in operation now for almost one month. In the past (last year), there were three instances when the car was sent in the service centre when we saw the indicator showing water in the fuel and each time they replaced the fuel filter and emptied the fuel tank without going into the details regarding how water can enter the fuel tank and most probably on the 4th occasion they discovered that the air exhaust line attached to the fuel tank has corroded, which was later replaced. As a customer, why should we pay such huge sum as repairs / replacement in a car that is not even 5 years old , not having any major accident and driven only by the owner i.e. me. The life of critical items such as Fuel Injectors , High pressure pumps is much higher than 5 years and the replacement costs are quite high. I wrote to ‘custmail@ford.com’ on 30th May and till date we have exchanged 3-4 mails, but the response time is high as well as the resolution given by Mr. Sushil Kumar is not acceptable to me as he has offered Rs 10000/- discount after 10days for an item which is priced at Rs40000/- and recently I have spent close to Rs 80000/- on fuel injectors. When I tried to call him on 9th June’2014, he did not take the call. I have also approached the National Consumer Helpline (docket no 517270 , 517160 and 468275565014).
