I ordered Gate Engineering 2015 (1 Year) Correspondence Course + Aptitude Test costing Rs 6800. I told them to send me Material Science and Thermodynamics. So I was expecting material on these subjects. But I received just engineering mathematics. When I called for other sections, the person told me that it will arrive after a month as per their dispatch policies. I was not understanding the other 2 books will come after a month when i have paid the full 6800 amount. So i requested them to cancel my order as the book they sent is not up to the expectations. I told to return the book which is a spiral binded 300 page book. After a request they told me that they can only return the money 5800 after deducting Rs 1000 for the book ( spiral binded 300 pages). The material is not at all worth of 1000 rs. They have returned me 5800 Rs but due to poor study material and discrepancies in the (as they told and what they are giving- they told to give 6 vol. but after payment they told will give only 3 more books). So the total of 4, 300 pages spiral binded books in 6800. I dont think the material is worth it. there are many good books available in that much money. They are duping students with large claims and charging a lot of money.

The material for Engineering Sciences (XE)- Book of 263 pages having 6 chapters- It has less number of examples, only 25 solved questions per chapter. I expected more solved questions per chapter. The material sent is not at that par and relevant as I thought. So it has caused a mental dissatisfaction. The other reason is only one section is sent, which contains only Engineering Mathematics. After they asked me the topics , I thought I will be getting material on those topics too. Since I have good command at the material sent, I have to wait for a month or more to get the material I was looking forward to study. So after getting the first book I am not willing to continue further. It has lost my faith in correspondence course. I will return the book as it is, it’s of no use to me. I have covered all the topics in my BSc and have the notes of all the topics with much more examples then they have provided. So after getting the first book on engineering mathematics (no use to me) I was looking forward for deep material with lots of solved questions. Further I didn’t like the way you are sending books-one section at a time, as I have to prepare all the sections simultaneously. The first set should contain topics from all sections. This process has taken one month, which otherwise I was planning to study. So I lost a whole month and have paid the amount 3 weeks before they have sent me back the check of 5800, deducting 1000 rs for that worthless book. I want my money back. I am saying that the book is worthless because earlier I have cleared JAM (Joint admission to Msc in IITs)and after doing MSC from IIT Bombay, want to prepare for GATE, which is more tough then JAM.
