We purchased gas cook top of FABER make on 31st march 2012. There is glass top on the burner. On 1st may2015, when my wife Ruchi Tandon was cooking dosa on one of the burner, suddenly glass top exploded like a mini bomb. Small pieces started flying upto a distance of 5- 6 ft. Fortunately my wife had just left the cooking area to serve and one of glass piece hit her at the back. my maid was away from the burner by atleast 12 ft and looking at the blast she almost fainted. when my wife saw glass pieces scattered around went into a shock as it could have damaged her eyes or face permanently. It clearly speak poor quality of high pressure glass fitted by the manufacturer that pressurized glass can become a live bomb. customer care no. 18002093484

For the life threat and trauma , my wife has faced because of glass explosion , where she could have lost her eyes or damage of face, i seek compensation of Rs 15 lacs. this company should also immediately stop production of glass fitment on cooktop unless quality is cleared by govt agency.
