Cheating in fixing settlement amount of Credit Card (5523 4410 0053 2930) by giving false information by Manager, HDFC bank :—– Due to some financial crisis of mine I was a defaulter of credit card payment of your bank. One day one of HDFC bank empoyee (Mr Bhawsik, Manager, Debt management, Mobile No. 9313158254) came to my office and offered me a settlement. He told me that of the total Rs.2,32,000 offered by the bank(I did not agree to this negotiable amount) but informed me that you start paying minimum amount against the prefixed EMI amount every month and towards the end he can ask the bank to fix the second settlement amount. Soon after paying Rs.1,73,600 I tried to cantact him many times, even left massage to his juniors who picked up his mobile phone to cantact me, but that never happened. He was intentionally not picking up his mobile. In the meantime one AShish Mahajan, manager contacted me and asked me lodge complaint after hearing my explanation but urged me to pay a minimum amount of Rs.10,000/- (which I did by making cash payment)with understanding that further payments will be done based on the outcome of communication to the bank regarding this miscommunication of his employee that amounts to cheating. He also said that he will also inform the bank about this case of cheating. I had sent several emails(customerser-vices.cards@hdfcbank.com)to HDFC bank (query reference number for one such e-mail: 13225900758), every time I was informed to interact with Debt Management Team of bank in Delhi branch. However, I kept on paying Rs.10000/- every month to keep the good will of the bank along with the pursuance of complaint. Recently Mr.Asish Verma, Manager came into picture and asked me to pay Rs.10000/- and write an email in the address of herbinder.singh@hdfcbank.com so that he can talk to seniors and find out a solution. Subsequently he is making phone calls stating me to pay the remaining due without offering second settlement. Now neither the bank nor Mr.Verma is giving me in writing that second settlement in lowering the first settlement amount is possible. It is a matter of serious concern and amounts to cheating and needs your intervention.
I demand Immediate relief ; Instruction to Mr.Verma to stop phone calls till the matter is addressed. Subsequent relief: I have already paid around Rs.2,04,000 of the total of Rs.2,32,000(but according to them Rs.39000 left). The bank should waive off this amount and issue me a zero balance statement. Because other banks are giving about 60-70% waive off in settlement of dues, one such example is enclosed as attachment for your ready reference (password to open the statement :drgp1106). In this case I have already paid in lakhs as interest @ 42% over a period of 4 years by paying minimum amount every month since I faced with the financial crisis. Least the bank can do by offering second settlement of around Rs.5000 to wind up the issue.
