I, Dr. krishanu Banik, booked 3 tickets through irctc eticketsbooking system. The tickets was booked in Howrah kanyakumari Express Train No- 2665 on 22.03.2010.
But after boarding we noticed that there was no “berth no 7”, Instead there was place for bedroll. We approached the on duty T.T.E. but we were treated as if we were really having only 2 tickets. Then we lodged a complaint on the complaint book of T.T.E
Subsequently we had to complete the journey without arrangement for a berth. As I was traveling with my parents, none of us could sleep for the whole journey time. As there was one sitting place missing we couldn’t seat properly as well. Along with this we were being laughed at by others.
The journey turned into a horror. Being a patient of severe hypertension my father became ill, on reaching Kanyakumari we had to get back to Trivandrum for my admission in M.D course in G.M.C., TVM.
So much time of us became lost due to ailment of my father in Kanyakumari. If we couldn’t reach Trivandrum at proper time my candidature of M.D course would have been cancelled and my life would have been ruined. Moreover I had to spend the lot of money for the treatment of my father also had to book the return tickets in tatkal quota. Due to all this my father couldn’t join his business on proper time and I couldn’t join my duty at proper time.
I have enough proof in support of my statement but I can’t send this due lack of any specialized email id of yours. Please send me your email id and telephone number so that I can give those proofs.
