Hathway Broadband – New Connection NOT Provided

Dear Sir/Mdm, I had applied for a Hathway Broadband new connection to my apartment located at Venkatapura Extn, Bangalore on 27th Mar 2014. Hathway Sales Person namely, ASHESH (Mob No. 97422 68467) visited my apartment and collected a cheque worth of Rs. 1825/- (KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK, Cheque No. 000038, dt 27th Mar 2014) for installation and subscription charges. I was provided with the proper Hathway Receipt (No. 43213)as well and was assured that the connection would be provided within maximum of 5 working days. However, so far (after 15 days)none of the Hathway technical persons has contacted / visited my flat for any survey or installation. I have contacted the customer care on 8th Apr and registered a complaint (No. 9581771)for this issue and again I was assured that I would be contacted by their technical team, but no call back. In the meanwhile, the cheque was presented by Hathway and the amount was also debited from my account on 4th Apr. On 9th Apr, I called Hathway Bangalore Nodal Officer (Mr.Manjunath)@ 080 40151637 and requested for an action. He asked me to contact their senior sales officer (Mr.Srikanth) @ 97422 68466. However, even after several tries, Srikanth never bothered to answer my phone call. I tried the sales guy Ashesh (who collected cheque) several times and he also did not answer my phone calls. Today (10th Apr) I called the customer care again, and requested for any progress in my complaint. I was given the same answer that their tech team will call me back. I was totally irritated with the same answer and I lost the hope in Hathway. With severe mental agony, I informed them that I did not need the connection and requested them the refund. (New complaint no. 959147). Due to the delays and dodging by Hathway, I was severely affected personally as I was unable to carry out few trainings online. It has created a severe mental agony as well. I request you to take this up with the concerned parties and provide me the proper justice and necessary compensation. Request the refund of Rs.1825/- which was paid for installation and subscription (KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK Cheque No. 000038, dt. 27th Mar 2014) Due to the delays by Hathway and irresponsible behavior from their customer care and sales team, I have a severe mental agony as well as my health was also spoiled(High BP). I request a necessary compensation for the same.
