HomeShop18 Sent Defective Item, No Return Policy

Through Homeshop18, I order one item called ” WANTRN Mosquito Killer 3 in 1 With Hanging Stand ” on 30/11/2014, and the order no.given by Home shop 18 was 959479387 for which I paid Rs1299/-through internet banking. I received this item on 9/12/2014 as a defective piece through courier, immediately I lodge a complain to company (Home shop 18) on phone and notify them for replacement. In this regard on the same day I also wrote a mail to them for replacement. Secondly when I received this item, I was surprised to know that such fragile item was shipped from Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) to Delhi. On 10/12/2014 I received a call from Home shop 18 and was told to me on phone ,to send the scan/photo copy of the shipment (packed box of shipment) in which the item was shipped to me, I took the photo of the shipment box and I send them a mail with this attachment of photo and also informed them in mail that I would not be available in Delhi from 12/12/2014 , so please contact on my spouse phone or through mail. On 15/12/2014, I received a mail from Tarun Kumar Singh an executive of Home shop 18 stating me to send the order/sub order no. of my shipment. I forwarded the mail sent by Home shop 18 in which the order no. was mentioned, to him , but after one week on 21/12/2014 I again received a mail from Home shop 18 , mentioning the alternate mobile no. to discuss the case, which I had already provided to them in my previous mail. After that there was no mail.

Finally I arrived Delhi on 11-01-2015 and made a phone call to them twice , regarding to resolve the issue but the Home Shop18 never responded , after 3rd call on 21/01/2015 they sent me a message on my mobile but not in mail stating that ” I have to repack the item very safely and return the item to the vendor at Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) through courier and then Home shop 18 will return the courier fees through cheque to me and then depending upon the situation, Home shop18 will replace the item.” Following matter I want to Highlight 1.The item which I order was very fragile thing and it was damaged during different stages of shipment defined between the vendor and Home shop 18. The item was shipped on 2-Dec-2014 from Coimbatore(Tamil Nadu), It took 8 days to reach my place Delhi. Before ordering the item I was not knowing the location and name of the vendor in advance. 2.After my complain the Home shop 18 has removed this item from its web site because of fragilness of the item sent by vendor from Coimbatore Tamil Nadu.It means that Home shop 18 understands the degree/essence of delivery of shipment of such fragile item to customer, otherwise they have not removed from their website.

I want my money back and request Home shop 18 to collect the item from my residence after providing me the receiving receipt.
