Honda Cars India Refusal to Repair – Car Damage by Rain Water

This is to bring to your kind notice that I, Koushik Kar, am owner of a Honda Amaze vehicle bearing Registration No. MH12 XXXXX . I stay in Pune. Due to the heavy midnight rains here, on 15th October, 2020, my car got submerged in water. With the help of Honda Road Side Assistance Team and thanks to them, the car was towed to Garve Honda Service Centre, Bopodi, Pune on 17th October, 2020. Today, ie.on 18th October, 2020 on meeting the Service Centre Representative, Mr. Milind, for understanding the way forward, we were surprised to know that as per your Honda policy, this is a case of A level water damage and the service centre will not repair my car and the case will be reported to the Insurance Company for a total loss. I am writing to you, surprised that Honda, being such a global and much respected brand, is refusing to repair my car and provide a solution to the problem. My dream was always to own a Honda Car and that came true when I brought home the Amaze. Belonging to a humble background, scraping the car as mentioned by the Service Centre Representative, Mr. Milind, will be too much of a loss for me and definitely not a viable solution.
