HPCL – Account Blocked – Frequency of Refills

As per the policy of Hindustan Petroleum (HP), a consumer has to order an LPG refill within 6 months, failing which his account is blocked and he is asked to do a KYC verification to re-activate the account.
The policy does not recognize that there may be consumers whose gas consumption is low, and their cylinders last for more than 6 months. I am such a consumer – I live alone and cook once a day, so my consumption of gas is very low. Since LPG is a subsidized product, HP (and the govt) should welcome consumers like me. Instead of which, every time I try to book a refill, I have to go through the inconvenience of completing KYC formalities.
