Hi, Before i lay my heart out again let me tell you that this HTC Desire 501 Dual Sim is not my primary phone for daily use. Because of my nightmarish experience i am still using my Nokia and for 6 months HTC is only used at home. I use internet only when i need to d/l any songs or clips after which i disconnect it. So there is no facebook or whatsapp on my phone.
I am back again ofcourse disgusted with your so called product along with service which has given me nothing but nightmares since the time i bought it. Let me refresh your memory: I bought this useless mobile this year in the month of February 2014 which i admit was the biggest mistake of my life. Here is the best part. Trouble started in the first 100 days after purchasing when i was not even using it. Battery started to drain quickly (without gprs), used to restart on its own, signal use to vanish. So went to your great technical center here in Camp Pune. They changed the mother board informing that that was causing the whole problem. Bought the phone back and realized that the vibrating function was not working properly. It was something like it was struggling to vibrate. Also phone started to lag a lot and still is. Sometimes i need to tap 2 or 3 times to get the desired screen. Battery drain issue still persists. Well i went back to the service center informing them about the vibrating issue. The front desk guy opened the phone and said “Oh the rubber band had come in between and was obstructing the vibrating feature. Wow just great and i am paying for their mistakes carefully executed. In fact i even told him that despite the fact the mother board has been changed i am still facing the battery drain issue. And battery drains lot quicker when i plug my phone to a pc/laptop through a USB cable. He asked me to bring the phone on a week day i.e. mon-fri. As it was Saturday the center had rush of customers and he wanted to observe my phone for a day by connecting it to his computer. I dropped the idea as it was highly impossible for me to come/visit the service center between Monday to Friday as i also work these days from 10 to 7. Yesterday another issue came up i had downloaded 15 clips from the internet but one of them are on the phone. I click on the clip, message appears that clip is getting downloaded, I get the status that how much has been downloaded and finally download successful. But god knows where the clip has been downloaded. Day before and even yesterday i got a flash message that preparing SD card. In my download app it shows that 15 clips have been downloaded but they don’t exit’s anywhere on the phone. I restarted the phone took out the sd card but still couldn’t find a single clip out of 15.Because i had enough of your crap i would be lodging a complaint in consumer forum (like akosha) and have grievance redressed. Patience ran out long time back.
What a waste of money! Nightmare! Nightmare! Nightmare! So i need to take this liability which the world calls phone back to the service center which is almost 10K.M. away from where i stay and pay for the fuel and parking fees which I have already done 4 times. And get it serviced from all the competent technician. My fault i purchased HTC product. Great product & greatest service. Good that I am not using this phone for daily use as I would have smashed it long time back because of all the troubles. Issue after the mother board was changed in May 2014: Battery Drains happens when phone is not connected to GPRS. Also when I connect my phone to pc/laptop via USB after disconnecting the phone, the battery starts to drain a lot quicker Phone lags a lot sometimes need to top 2 or 3 times to move back & forth and this happened after the mother board was changed Regards, Vishal Patil Disgusted HTC Customer
