Idea Cellular VAS Charges Unjustified

I am a post paid customer of idea telecom company. My mobile no is 9374XX5343. the post paid bill of feb 16 is around 2903 and after scanning the bill i got to know that around RS 2200 were charged for VAS. I would like to mention here the TRAI’s Consumer’s handbook on telecommunications, chapter 7 – Value added Services clearly states that : “The service provider cannot provide any chargeable value added service without the explicit consent of a consumer. Any value added service, which was earlier being provided free of charge cannot be made chargeable without consumer’s expressed consent”. and “VAS can be charged to the customer only after getting verifiable confirmation from the consumer within 24 hours of activation of VAS through consumer originated SMS, e-mail, fax or letter. If no confirmation is received, within 24 hours, the VAS has to be deactivated without any cost to the consumer.” In the light of above guidelines i would like to mention here that i had never given a consent to your company to charge for value added services though i got a bill shock of rs rs 2902.
