Idea – False information validity period recharge

I wanted to recharge (topup) for full talk time, so I dialed Idea‘s best offers to get to know about full talk time offers which used to offer full value of amounts on recharges and unlimited validity. After knowing that on recharge of Rupees 55, I would get full talk time of Rupees 55, I used internet banking to recharge my mobile account of Idea Cellular on 30th August,2014. To my surprise, when I checked my mobile talk time balance, it was still showing the previous value of balance that was available before this recharge. When I contacted Idea consumer care official,he told me that the recharge amount would not reflect in main account balance and would have validity of only 7 days only as additional balance. As I wasn’t provided information about validity period of recharge when I dialed the ‘best offers’ number of Idea, I requested him to transfer recharge amount towards main account balance, but he refused to do so telling that I should have inquired about validity period from nearest Idea retailer beforehand which they don’t. Now, I am feeling being cheated off my money as I use my mobile very less frequently for phone calls.

Since, I use my mobile phone very less frequently for voice calls, I won’t be able to completely utilize the whole talk time within its validity period of 7 days. Therefore, the economic damage I will have to bear is as good as Rupees 55.
