1) This is regarding huge delay I faced in getting timely services from ‘IdeaCellular Limited’. I purchased ‘Idea Net Setter 3G’ device (SIM number 8378978729) on 27 June ‘13 and Idea took 10 days just to activate my device. After working for around 4 days, it again stopped working on 11 July ’13. I called Idea customer care to lodge my complain but they told me that they can’t even take my complain as Idea’s system is down hence on the same day I wrote a mail to customer care to keep track of my complain. Next day again I called them i.e. 12 Jul ’13 and they took my complaint and promised that issue will be resolved within 13 hours. But surprisingly for the next 5 days I didn’t received any call from Idea and the issue was not resolved. Then on 17 July ’13 I again called them and found that both my previous complaints have been closed without taking any action. They were also clueless as how it happened. Finally after calling them several times on 17th July 2013 device got activated again. 2) While taking this new Idea’s connection I have paid 3 months rental in advance (as per available plan) and they told me that my billing will start on the day of device activation and now they are refusing and saying it will start from the date of payment only. 3) Idea should have some mechanism to record the request/complain even if the system is down. 4) They should not close any complaint/request till the issue is not really fixed.
In all the above points every where it was Idea’s irresponsibility because of which I suffered a lot, now they must give me some rebate either: 1) By giving me monetary benefits. 2) Or by shifting my billing cycle by 15 days. When a customer delays payment they put huge penalty on it similarly when they delay services to the customer they should also be fined. Why someone has to call 4-5 times just to get an issue resolved. Idea Cellular is flouting too many norms laid down by TRAI please forward all these issues to Ministry/Department of Telecom as well.
