Indigo Airlines – Unauthorized cancellation of tickets

I had booked my ticket Indigo Airlines on the 6E435 (Bangalore-Indore) Flight on the 20th September 2014 (Booking Reference: VYZZJT) for travel on 12TH October 2014, I received the e-ticket confirmation on my registered email ID. When I went to the Indigo Counter to complete the check-in formalities on 12th October 2014, I was informed by the Agent that my ticket booked under the above reference number had been cancelled, however no details were provided to me and I was asked to contact the call center. Since I had to attend office on Monday I purchased a fresh ticket at a higher price and subsequently travelled on 6E 435 on 12th October 2014. After reaching Indore, I called the call center to get more details about the cancellation of my ticket, I was informed by the Call Center agent that somebody by the name of Shambunath had cancelled my ticket by providing my personal details such as Name, Contact details and other Credentials. Further I was also informed by the call center that the ticket was fraudulently refunded by the Airline and the refund was used to book a ticket on the Delhi Indore Flight on 4th October 2014. I am shocked that a Airline of such repute has allowed such a fraudulent transaction without checking the credentials of this Shambunath. This ticket was booked using my credit card for which details are available with Indigo, despite of this refund was not directed into my credit card account. The Airline refunded the money and then used the proceeds to book another ticket without letting a bonafide passenger such as myself know by SMS or email. I am also surprised how HDFC allowed this transaction without sending me any sms alert regarding this cancellation and rebooking. How can the Airline allow such Frauds to happen? I have sent a compliant to Indigo Airlines- Customer Service and asked them for details of the transactions on the above PNR number asap with a trail in terms who called? Who was the call center agent who authorized this transaction? Dates and time with details such as the name of the Fraudulent Passenger, his phone numbers, email IDs, contact address, for filing the cyber police compliant. After repeated mails and telephone calls, Indigo customer relation has now sent me mail saying that cancellation of the reservation was done through the call center as per the call made by Sambhunath from 01125011587.They have not taken any action. I have also given online cyber The reference number is cyber#419. So far I have not received any reply from them. Kindly do the needful. Sincerely

The money I spent has to be refunded. My personal details has to be safeguarded. Air line should see that this is not repeated again. Most important is strict action has to be taken against fraudulent person so he will not repeat such this again with anyone.More checks and alerts have to provided by Airline before cancellations.
