I A. JAYA KUMAR have life insurance code with Kotak Life Insurance. When i wanted a General Insurance, I approached Bajaj Allianz and submitted my papers along with Kotak Life certificate, and since i did not get any response for 45 days so I decided to go to New India Insurance and submitted papers. Only after that i came to know that Bajaj had processed the paper and the URN had been generated. I had requested them to cancel the URN so as to proceed with New India Insurance. Now Bajaj had informed me over phone that the URN cannot be cancelled for 1 year.
