With reference to the above, I had applied for an agency with Tata AIA Life Insurance in 2001 with PAN No ACTPN1659F and agency code 10736. The agency was terminated / discontinued with mutual consent in 2007 through an NOC / Termination letter issued by the company. In April 2015, with the new rules for agency issued by IRDA, I was shocked to learn that the advisor status mentioned on the IRDA portal by Tata AIA Life Insurance shows the remark as “Death”, which technically means that I am not alive!! This is totally shocking and misleading information since I am filing my Income Tax Returns under the same PAN card. The said company Tata AIA, states that they cannot update the status since my PAN Number ACTPN1659F no longer exists in their system. For no fault of mine, due to such misleading information, I am being penalised and the company is washing its hands off the matter Because of such frivolous, totally misleading and defaming information put up by the company on the IRDA portal, my career is being hampered and causing a immense loss both in terms of goodwill and financial loss as well since I have to renew my license for Star Health also which will not be possible since the advisor status shows as “Death”. Requesting you to take up this matter on a priority and set the records straight on the IRDA portal immediately as it is a violation of my fundamental right to live and earn a living as a citizen of India under the Indian Constitution.
