Dear Sir, I am yogesh khandelwal. I booked e ticket from irctc.co.in from Ajmer to Delhi cant (Aii to Dec) from Chetak Express, Train No. 12982. My ticket was under waiting. My waiting no. was 68. My journey date was 06.03.2016. My PNR No. was 2544031052. Total charges was as under :- Ticket fare :- 260 Rs. Service Charges:- 22.90 Rs. Total Fare 282.90 Rs. My ticket was automatically cancelled due to not confirming the waiting ticket. I took bus for my journey from ajmer to delhi. IRCTC gave me refund of Rs. 200/- . I am unable to understand the calculation method adopted by Irctc for my refund. I didnot cancel my ticket. IRCTC cancelled my ticket due to unavailability of ticket. I spent for bus and train also. IRCTC should charges for 22.90 Rs. only for cancellation. Why they charged 60 rupees extra for the same.

IRCTC refund 60 Rupees lesser. This is not a matter of 60 rupees, this is a matter of trust which we have on government organisation like Indian Railway. Everytime we need to check the refund amount in that case. So many passenger dont check the refund amount, as they have full trust on indian railway. It should be manual refund process.

I want my 60 rupees which is wrongly deducted & 100000 Rupees for compensation. So that a strong message should be delivered to the IRCTC. IF my claim is wrong. Please advice me for the guidline which allow irctc to deduced such charges.
