I had booked an e-ticket through IRCTC in Train No. 02528 (ANVT – GKP Premium) for the journey on 27/05/2014 for MRS. ABHA SRIVASTAVA F 32 AND MRS. dEEPTI sRIVASTAVA F 31 for Rs. 5840.00. THIS TRAIN WAS CANCELLED ON 27/05/2014 AND NO INTIMATION FOR THE SAME WAS GIVEN BY IRCTC ON MOBILE AS WELL AS ON MAIL. As it was an e-ticket, therefore the amount shall be refunded in the account in case the ticket is not confirmed or train is cancelled. But my amount was not credited to my account, instead i was told by customer care that i had to file a TDR within 72 hrs of train departure to claim a refund. But as i told you that it was case of train being cancelled and not about missing the train. If a train is cancelled, then it should the responsibility of the Railways and IRCTC to inform the passenger to file the TDR to claim the amount. Request you to do the needful.
To get my amount credited to my account without any reduction as train was cancelled.
