J.R. Auto motives, Agra – faulty car sold

We had purchased Pajero Sport in February, 2013 from J.R. Auto motives, Agra. Their executives assured us that we will not have any problems or hassles. While purchasing the car, they gave us an estimate of the cost of the car including the insurance amount as well. They said it was a COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE COVER and no further details of the policy were disclosed. We were of the illusion that the insurance policy was a ZERO DEBT POLICY. In good faith, we gave the amount and were informed that the documents will reach us shortly at BAREILLY. Firstly, the sale letter for temporary registration was provided after a long time (approx. a month) that too after we had been reminding them consistently about the same. Due to that delay, a great deal of inconvenience was caused to us in obtaining the temporary registration certificate. Due to which we could not travel in the car. Secondly, and most importantly our car met with an accident on 27th may, 2013. The car was towed and sent to J.R.AUTOMOTIVES, AGRA. The following day we were informed by the executives there that the total estimate of the damage was around Rs.11 lakhs, out of which Rs.3 to 4 lakhs would have to be borne by us. On further questioning, it was revealed that the insurance policy that had been given to us by their employee Mr. kuldeep was a standard motor insurance policy and we had not been informed by the company executives that there was a ZERO DEBT INSURANCE POLICY in which the insurance company bears the complete damage amount. The executive further revealed that Mr. kuldeep (authorized executive of J.R.Automotives) had been fired from his job on the grounds that he had committed such blunders with other customer as well. The executive further told us that our documents were incomplete and that is why we were not informed about the ZERO DEBT INSURANCE POLICY. When we asked for the mobile number of the owner of the agency, the executives refused to do so saying that they were not permitted to do so on the grounds that customers “harass” the owner. Is this customer satisfaction? It is very logical that a person who is purchasing Rs.25 lakhs car will not shy away from shelling out another Rs.15000 for the insurance cover. If our documents were incomplete why weren’t we informed about it during the purchase and payment of the car? It is due to the negligence and sloppy attitude and behavior that we have landed in such a soup. Had the terms and conditions been properly explained to us, all of this would have been avoided in the first place. We further realized that while towing away the vehicle it was damaged even more on the route to the showroom from the photos that had been clicked by the surveyor. It has been two months since the accident but the company people are taking the whole thing very lightly and are not taking any initiative to repair the vehicle on being asked why they are doing so they always say that some is not available in the country and it has to come from

First of all we want our car back in a perfectly working condition. Secondly we want the company to pay for the additional damage they have caused the car. Thirdly we want to know what them so long to repair the car. Fourthly we want to know why I was being called to Agra on the false pretext that the car had been repaired when the reality was quite contrary to their statement. We also want compensation for the unreasonable delay that has been caused to us by the company.
