I took a life Insurance policy from M/S. Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance Policy in 2009 vide my policy no 01358351.
I deposited Rs.12,000/- as first year premium for the above policy but I have not yet received the subject policy document. In this regard, I requested by writing to the company to provide me the policy document. They informed vide their letter no Nil dated 08th Jan,2010 that my policy document had sent to my mailing address through speed post on 14th Oct,2009 through POD number ED882051269IN. I enquired the above POD from General Post office, Dehradun whereabouts my letter. The GPO informed that the above POD number is not the number of any post office of India being issued as POD.
The issue again I informed to the company and requested to sent the policy document but thereafter no reply I have been received since then in spite of my repeated request and reminder.
Moreover, the company has facilitated only a single toll free number 1800-209-8800 where I have lodged time and again my compliant but all were in vain.
Due to the above circumstances and without policy document, I could not take further risk to deposit further premium.
As per the total dealing of the company shows that the company is simply cheating of heard earn money of general poor people by giving the name of IRDA.
Your good office is hereby requested to take an immediate action with the M/S. Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance to refund my money deposited as premium of Rs.12,000/- along with three years interest for the same as they did not issue the required policy documents to my present following address;.
