This is regarding the 2 year extension in warranty for my Laptop Lenovo Thinkpad X220 (Serial no. R9DXCRB) My warranty was about to expire on 8th June 2012 and so I had contacted Lenovo who said warranty managed by IBM and gave me BKC address. Since, it was urgent, I cancelled trips and meetings to may the payment at the service centre before the warranty expires. I made the payment of Rs. 9806 on the 7th June itself for a 2 years warranty extension by personally visiting your office again and swiping my debit card (as I was told there are no internet buying options and that I would have to pay the cash or swipe the card there itself.. Strange). There after, I was not given any invoice or any receipt. * I write emails to you (14th June’12, 28th June’12, 27th July’12, Feb’13) and I don’t get any revert. * My system problems dont get solved – During all this time when I call Lenovo care they say your warranty is not updated and please furnish invoice (which they had not sent to me). * My laptop faces some issues and so I write to Lenovo on 21st Feb 2014 * After one and a half year down, on 12th March’14, they (IBM) sends me some email (after continuous followup for 20 days) with a table in it and indicate that my warranty was active since 7th June’12 and will finish on 7th June’14 without giving any explanations.
For 2 years, every time I called lenovo toll free number for help, they said I didnt have warranty and would not assist me. I solved my problems on my own. When I connected to them for problem which I am unable to solve, this issue of warranty. Plus I will have to but a fresh warranty soon. For 1,5 years I was not given service for which I had paid 18 months back.
