Mahanagar Gas Mumbai Connection Not Given – Where is Customer Care ?

my BP NO. is 1100635907 and complaint docket No. B71590. I have paid the installation charges for the gas connection on 1 October, 2012 and now its 20 June, 2013. I have made repeated follow-ups with Mahanagar Gas Ltd. However, each time I have been given false assurances that the connection will be made in a week. Each time novel excuses are given that the bending machine is’nt available, drill machine is not available, there’s shortage of the pipes, etc. which are lame excuses in prolonging the connection. It is sad that a public sector undertaking deals with its customers in this fashion. I am a senior citizen aged 77 years and cannot keep running from pillar to post to have my grievances heard. It is also pertinent to note that the staff employed by MGL also do not attend to calls from their executives and only vague assurances are given that the complaint shall be resolved and connection provided. I was last assured that the connection would be functional on 19 June, 2013 and on inquiring on 19 June, 2013, I was informed hat the connection can only be made after a week You are therefore requested to attend to my complaint at the earliest and oblige.

On account of the non -cooperative attitude of the staff of Mahanagar Gas Ltd. I’ve suffered great mental stress and trauma in addition to being inconvenienced physically by visiting their office from time to time. Moreover, I am not able to enjoy the service for which I have paid. Please note that the same is an unfair trade practice also.
