MTS – Unfair Billing and Improper Service

Hi, Its a long ordeal that i m facing with MTS. Its like a thug company with no regard for consumer grievances. I paid INR 1899 (receipt attached) to one MTS agent Avinash (08882058xxx) on 2nd Aug, 2014 for a MTS ultra blaze dongle on assurance that it includes one month rental as well. Same dongle is available in market for INR 999 only, but since it included i month rental (INR 924) i bought it. I had to chase that guy several times (I have SMS) and register several complaints (I have acknowledge mails from MTS customer care) before the connection finally got active on 9th of Aug. I was quite happy that despite of all that agony finally my Internet connection was active just to know later that i was getting speed in Kbs, that to 10-100 Kbs. I had opted for INR 999 plan (40 GB 3G data) and that speed was definitely not 3G. So i registered a complaint (No. Aug/18130) on 7th Aug to which i got a reply from MTS on 9th Aug that my location was in poor coverage area and it will continue to experience bad speed. I then asked them to refund my amount to which they said that they don’t have a refund policy. To add to that they generated a two month bill of INR 1,950 despite of the fact that i did not get the level of service i was promised. Now, they have started to send so called legal notice that too from a gmail account(mts.delhi.collection01@gmail.com) to settle the dues or else face consequences. Similar complaints against MTS can be easily found against MTS by numerous customers on various forums. This company is simply cheating the customers as there is no one to check it. I am unabl to attach various documents on this portal but can easily furnish them either on mail or whenever required. Request you to take a firm action in this case.
