Respected sir, My father Mr. RABINDRA ROY. is a cancer patient for last 2 years now. (first detected 23/10/12) He is covered by SAIL mediclaim policy from E-meitek (min#3604032) This is regarding our claim #100111419153 for Hospitalization at APPOLO SPECIALITY HOSPITAL AT CHENNAI. Date of hospitalization 25th nov 2014 Date of discharge 28th nov 2014. My father was admitted for pain in chest and other cancer related health problem + schedule injection he needs to take in order with the oral chemotherapy. Though proper intimation had been given to the branch office for the cashless hospitalization it was rejected by the E-meditek showing vague reason and suggested to resubmit it for consideration. So we submitted the Claim form along with all the Original documents at the branch office Rourkela. After few days they asked for Original PET CT films and the Bill break up.
I’ve submitted the films on 12th jan 2015 and told them that the Original bill Break up they need is given with the Claim form(it might be misplaced by them) and I ve only the photo copies with me. But just to make it more difficult, they asked me to get it from chennai. After numerous phone calls and emails I have to personally visit the branch office once again and request them to search the original documents. With no surprise they find it there along with the claim form. It was intentionally not updated on the portal just to delay the process. Now to my dismay they send me another letter asking for requisition slip for blood test at apollo speciality hospital chennai. For your information the original requisition slip the hospital keeps with them and I don’t have a copy since the only Photocopy facility at the Hospital was not available at the time. We have submitted a medical bill as pre hospitalization benefit for 6660rs for the ERLOTINIP-100 (oral chemo) he is continually taking for more than 1.6 years under the treatment of Dr. Shankar Srinivasan (Onchology) apollo speciality hospital chennai and all the related original documents are with the E-meitek. I found that they are doing this just to harass further.
And I know for sure that once it is submitted they will raise another issue after few days. Please help me to file a legal procedure so that they stop doing this nonsense ways to harass innocent patients any further. I have question to them 1. if these documents are needed to process the claim why they don’t ask it at a time, with out intentionally linger and delay? 2. Most of their members are not computer literate then why they send Emails for? My father is already half alive and this mediclaim policy is the only support he has in order to continue his treatment so please help us! Thanks n regards
