negligence of central railway employee in performing duty.

I was traveling from Nasik To Nagpur on 2nd May 2010, by Sevagram Exepress in coach no S4 berth no’s 25 to 30, ticket no is 72740388 along with my parents and family members.

During my travel when the train was about to reach the Bhusaval station, suddenly the lights of coach got deemed and fans shutoff.

This is brought to the notice of the TC attending that coach, he said he will inform to the concern person & the TC taking charge from him at Bhusawal.

After few minutes the light & fan got off and the entire coach was in dark.

On Bhusawal station no body attended the fault. The train leaved Bhusaval Station without attending the fault and left all the passengers in dark and on the mercy of god.

When I personally tried to find out the things with the TC Mr. Rajesh Kumar (having charge of S4 coach) he told that the previous TC has not given the complaint to the office at Bhusawal Station and informed him 2 min before the train starts.

Even after knowing the fact that there is no light and fans in Coach TC Mr. Rajesh Kumar did not do anything to restore the electricity.

When I asked Mr. Rajesh Kumar to make complaint, he was hesitant and not willing to do so, giving reasons that he do not have the telephone no’s of Bhusawal Staion.

After long persuasions he made a phone call to somebody at Nagpur and took the no of some station / office and made a complaint. This all happened in between Bhusawal and Malkapur Station.

Then the person who took the complaint informed that they do not have any electrician at in between stations so the fault will be taken care at Murtizapur or Badnera Station only, till the time all the passengers has to suffer in dark & very hot & humid coach.

Again I requested the TC Mr. Rajesh Kumar, to depute some CRPF men in the coach to avoid any unlawful event and restrict the entry to the passengers having confirmed reservation of the S4 coach.

The eventful suffer in the dark coach has not ended here, the TC neither bothered to depute some CRPF man nor even himself took any corrective measure towards the safety of passengers.

Apart from passengers having confirmed reservation there were plenty of passengers do not have any reservations were also present in the coach making it more and more uncomfortable and risky to all of us.

On top of it in Shegaon station around 30 passengers group has entered the coach and started shouting and disturbing us by standing and sitting in between the birth, making the situation further worst.

The situation in the coach was as good as any general compartment. When we objected the passengers without any reservation to stay in the coach, we were verbally abused and threatened to through out in running train. When we asked TC who was sitting calmly in other coach to come and solve the issues again he started giving reasons that there is lot of rush in the train and you have to travel like this only.

After lots of verbal ally, Mr. Rajesh Kumar TC finally came and removed many passengers without reservation from coach before Murtizapur Station. During this entire incident, the light and fans were not working; it was even darker, hot & humid.

Finally at Badnera station the supply of coach restored. Our journey in dark was ended at around 2.30 am in the morning.

We suffered through very high degree of mental & physical harassment due to negligence of the staff of Central Railway. They made our journey worst than hell. My parents are senior citizen and suffering from diabetes & IHD, just imagines what would be their condition.

If the matter would have been persuaded at Bhusawal station all these would have been easily avoided at the cost of delay in schedule of train by not more than 30 min.

But the staff of central railway was least bothered about the safety & comfort of passengers. Surprisingly the TC knew that central railway do not have any electrician on stations between Bhusawal and Murtizapur, still not taken any corrective action at bhusawal Station. Neither had he given any priority to the safety of passengers.

Hence I feel all the staff on train is equally responsible along with both the TC of S4 coach. It is the best example of negligence in performing your duty.
