I purchased Nokia Lumia 625 on 4rd September (though in my invoice they mentioned I purchased it on 3rd a kind of fraud I would say)2013 From Nokia priority centre, cannaught place, New Delhi. When I purchased the mobile that day they made my original sim a micro sim but when the cellphone could not detect it they said it’s because my sim is hutch and I need to get it converted to Vodafone hence they asked me to get a new sim. I bought a new sim(airtel) but again as soon as it got activated I could not use it as again the Lumia 625 could not detect it and showed sim error whereas it was working smoothly in my other phone.Also the cell would switch off by itself then again restart and this will keep on happening (in ten minutes say five times). As soon as I found out this I went to the store with the cell and they checked it thoroughly. Initially they started saying that my sim is defective but when they used the same sim in their Lumia it worked also their sim did not work in my Lumia so finally after seeing that it also got switched off by itself they agreed that there was a problem in Lumia only. Hence they asked me to submit the same for getting it replaced but as I was not having the accessories with me they asked to bring them as well and as I was going out of station for 15 days I asked them to take the cell but they said they will take it with all the accessories only so I said after 15 days I will return and they said okay( the concerned person’s name was Mr Hemant). Now after fifteen days when I went to give it back, initially the person there said now we can’t take it as we can take after 74 hours only but when I told about my previous conversation then he agreed and said it will take around a week. But now after four days they call me and say that the usb port ( the charging point) is in broken condition and nokia care has sent it back though it was not at all broken nor detected broken at the time of receiving nor anything mentioned on the receiving. Everytime the people are trying to escape from replacing it and trying to prove that it is my fault. Replacing the phone is a very far off thing they are saying that I should get the damaged part get replaced first then only they will look into the other issues. Through the blogs on internet I came to know that when a customer buys a phone and it doesn not works properly then they inform that the phone has been damaged by the customer and then they charge for it and when they recover the price ( which is actually their fault) then they either repair it or replace it …though they replace it very rarely thugh before the purchase sound true. I am currently facing the same problem Now after submitting the phone for 15 days they are asking me to take a repaired phone saying I used it and the sim was detected a few times. All I would say is that only when someone use it then only know it is defective and what all defects are there.
Either the phone be replaced or money given back . Don’t want a repaired set
