Greetings and Regards, I’m a Nokia product fan. I’m always left in admiration of the products made by the brand. Due to this reason, I purchased a Nokia Lumia about 3.5 weeks earlier, isn’t even a purchase, I received it as a gift from my brother for my b-day. In an uneventful happening, my phone dropped from my hand during usage from my pocket to the floor . To my luck the possible damage i saw was unresponsive touch with a crack in the inside , the right top corner got smudged and i also saw that the network bar dropped fully and showed no signal symbol . As it’s a gift and Nokia product, I thought of getting it repaired at Nokia customer care center like any other loyal Nokia customer would do.The customer care team was the most unsatisfying and the most inhospitable team I ever came across. Initially they called me and told me that the screen has to be replaced and the network issue is because of the network component bend and it has to be replaced they quoted a huge amount for it , But i wondered how can the network component get bend just like that from a fall from the pocket to the ground as far as i have seen the phone looked really durable i expected the screen to shatter but not the network component from the simple fall.In regrets I agreed, because all I wanted was the phone which my brother gave me to get repaired and also i loved that phone . 10 days later i got a call from the customer care unit , they told that only the screen can be replaced and not the network component depressed and unhappy i went there .They returned my phone not repaired and in a much worse state where the casing was not fit properly near the volume button and seems to be damaged it shows the careless mistake of the technical assistance that my phone underwent . And i was told that, it can’t be repaired.This is my experience with the Nokia care unit in India the address of which i will mention at the end of this mail . So ma’am what should I do now? Let go of my brother’s gift? Which he bought from his hard earned money or should I just stop the usage of Nokia products? Disappointed with the company. at least repair the phone with at most care and concern as they damaged the outer casing while putting it back . I need a full repair done or a replacement because the nokia care i went to told that the phone can’t be repaired . How can the company that made the unit cannot repair what they made .
