On learning about new tariff plan from Airtel customer care I had paid Rs 39/- through E-recharge vide transaction id 958330075 on 5/1/2012 at 12:48 pm for change of tariff plan to minute pulse rate. However I did not get the plan changed till 10/1/2012. On contacting the customer care on 198 I was told that the plan is for selective districts and not applicable in Nashik district. I offered them to either refund the money or convert the amount to my talk time balance but the customer care told that it cannot be refunded nor converted to talk time as well. I wrote a complaint to the company website vide complaint no PR011100026. Primafacy it is seen that in the first place the customer care people did not provide all the details about the selective approach of the said scheme. Secondly despite of it being not applicable in Nasik district they accepted the recharge for the same. Most importantly even after acknowledging the transaction and non applicability of the scheme they refused to refund the money any way. My all the effort to approach responsible official who could set the wrong right have met the dead end of their corporate matrix and I suffer for a simple fault of working in good faith. Kindly help.
