Hi My name is Amandeep Pathak having a pre-paid connection no. 9818318804. Today (11-Jan-2012) I got a call from no.+3727012825. the call get disconnected since i did not picked up because i was busy with some work. When i called back, the reciever picked the phone immediately (even thogh i have not heard any ringing tone), i disconnected the phone within 3-5 seconds assuming it was a promotional call. After that i come to know that Rs. 45.00 has been deducted from my account. I checked the details regarding it on internet and came to know that it is a phone scam like thing.
Please help me in the following issues:
1) How should i be aware of such kind of fraud numbers in future.
2) why Rs. 45.00 has been deducted since it is not a real tarrif for any of the international call?
3) What steps have airtel taken to counteract such kind of calls?
4) What steps have airtel taken to protect their customers from such scams?

I hope Airtel will be able to answer all of my above queries.
