A PANASONIC Brand Television (Model Number :- TH-L32E3D..) was bought by me from the Mahavir Nagar branch (Kandivali west) of CROMA on 07-10-2012 for a Sum of Rupees 27000… Two months back the TV gave a new problem. At two to three instances it suddenly got shutdown completely & would not start for hours after that. When this was reported to the Customer care, the service person visited our residence & tried to waive off the complaint by saying that it was working perfect in front of him. On repeated complaints they agreed to take the TV to the service centre for 10 days but without a replacement TV. When we insisted on having a replacement TV we got very unethical & Non customer friendly behaviour from the Service centre. It took them around 10-15 days for arranging a replacement TV till which we were compelled to bear with the problem of sudden shutdown of our TV while watching. On Date:- 12/09/2013. They took our TV to the service centre. But after that there was NO communication from them about the status of the TV. For around two weeks they were unable to figure out what was the problem with the TV. After around two weeks of continuous follow up from our side we were told that there was a manufacturing defect & some A-Board of the TV which needs to be replaced & procured but they were unable to find it. Till now they are unable to find the part to be replaced & our TV still lies in the service centre. When I asked them to give the Guarantee for the service provided & the part replaced, they denied that. However, when our TV was taken to the service centre it was still in Warranty period. The Customer care was Nowhere involved in all this for the month & when I called the Customer care to report this irresponsible behaviour of the Service centre, I learnt that the customer care itself was unaware about the Status of our TV & least bothered about the greiviances of the Customer. NO tracking of the TV service was done from the Customer care people or rather PANASONIC. It is very disappointing & irresponsible behaviour on the part of PANASONIC & raises the doubt on the Service provide by the Brand like PANASONIC.
Since it is a manufacturing defect we don’t want this TV to be repaired anymore. Also because they have already lost the legitimate time of repairing the TV & providing the Service in a stipulated time. I want a New TV to be replaced for my defective TV with not the same model or I want my money back with the compensation for the Troubles faced & the time & energy lost in communicating with the Customer care & the Service centre.
