My name is Deepak. Recenly I purchased a system Vostro 1200 in India on 26-06-2010 bearing Service tag 32SN3BS through a dealer appointed and advertised by Dell. From the first day system fan was making a grinding noise, which I reported to Dell on 30-06-2010 I was told that this is an year old system, which shocked me and then I was told that system is no more in production. Finally technician agreed to send a fan and heat sink for my system with an onsite tech. My morale was already down to know that I have been sold an year old and an obselete system by Dell. Technican came on the third day as informed but, he screwed my whole system and my system stopped working completely. I was given the option for a motherboard replacement which I declined and I asked for a system replacement. Firstly your representative refused system replacement then he accepted and he requested a scanned copy of my bill amd he said he will call me by today after receiving the bill. I eamiled scanned copy of my bill within 30 minutes and kept on waitng for technician’s call, but, no one called me. Next day was Saturday and Sunday, hence, I had no alternative other than waiting. No one called me back on Monday, hence, I called Dell tech support myself. Technicain I spoke to was nice and promised me that I will be receiving a replacement computer. On 9th I received a call from Dell support that I will be getting a replacement and I was given a number to call. I caled the person named Manu who promisd a system by next day i.e. 10-07-2010. I called Manu next day, he requested me to wait till Monday as he said he has not shipped the system to me as of yet. I called Manu back on Monday i.e. 12-07-2010. He gave me the number of another person in my City. Person asked me to come and collect the system. I covered 30 Kilometers, but, I looked at the system I was shocked. I was full of scratches. The dealer who was giving me that replacement said system I have is an old computer and this is the best piece I can get. I reported the matter to Dell again on 12-07-2010. I was assured I will be getting a replacment system within 2 days. I kept waiting. Today i.e. 14-07-2010 I was expecting a call from Dell support, but, no one called me back. Hence I forwared a mail to concerned tech named Maria who was taking care of my issue. But, she did not call me back. Hence I decided to callback Dell. I spoke to Maria, she said they are trying to find a system and asked for another couple of days which is not acceptible.
Sir, I would request you to look into the matter as this kind of cheating by the company is not acceptible.
