had purchased Canon LP-E8 battery from Paytm. The item I received is a duplicate fake product. Its a replica of the original Canon LP E8 battery pack. This item is a replica of the original Canon battery which is available in the grey market. The original one has date of manufacture, import date, price, importer address mentioned, but the one I received, there is no such thing, which clearly shows that this is a duplicate battery. I visited Canon service centre in Kolkata, and by looking athe product only they told that its a FAKE DUPLICATE LP-E8 battery. They did not entertain me for a FAKE product.

I needed this battery urgently for my trekking trip and now i am stuck with this DUPLICATE battery. I want to return the battery and get my money refunded at the earliest. But both Level 1 (customer service) and Level 2 (grievance office) and replying to the same thing – “I would like to request you that the return policy of the product is 0 days so i assist you to visit your nearest service center.” What should i do with this duplicate battery?

I just want to return this Duplicate Fake Canon Lp E8 battery and get my full refund in paytm cash. It si clearly mentioned in the return policy for this product that return time is 15 days from the date of purchase. Return Policy : We would be open to accepting returns within a period of 15 days from the date of delivery of the item. This is only in the case of damaged/ defective/ wrong products received. In such cases, please inform our customer care within 24 – 48 hours of product delivery. Also share a few photographs of the product and packaging, highlighting the issue with the product.”
