PNB Metlife – Missold of Insurance Policy

I, am PNB metlife customer, I was holding a Metlife Insurance Policy No. 00233506. I had received a call from call center saying that my funds are not growing, so kindly shift funds to new fund schemes. They have sent a sales agent to collect my documents. This sales agent told me that my funds will be invested in different mutual fund scheme and it is onetime investment. He has taken my signature on funds switch form. I had not received any correspondence in this regard from PNB Metlife after that for many days. I had tried to contact your agent post my funds transfer, but he wasn’t reachable. I tried to called contact center but could not get any response. Many days later I had received a document from PNB Metlife, which I thought it is a document against the funds invested in different scheme. But I was surprised to see that it was a policy document. Also, I got shocked to see that there is annual payment is to be done and locking period is five years. Then I also searched for PNB Metlife branch in my area (Thane) but the same isn’t there. 4. Few days later, In the month of Feb 2019, my Husband received a call from PNB Metlife call center to inform that that the renewal payment towards my insurance policy is due. As mentioned earlier, I was under impression that it is onetime investment.

When I had inquired that why the call is not made to my number then contact center person verified my Mobile no. and email id. My email id and contact no mentioned in your database were wrong. Hence, I did not receive any call or email from PNB met life to describe the policy details. Policy reminder call was made after one year on my husband’s mobile number, even he did not receive any call from PNB MetLife before this. After doing lot of research I got to know about Ghatkopar branch, and I raised complaint. Once again, I would like to reiterate that earlier I was holding Metlife policy with premium of only 12000 a year. Then how can I agree to such a high premium. 7. This is complete misguidance and fraud by sales agent to complete their targets. I have been a loyal customer of Metlife India since long time. Hence, I would request to consider this mail as a request to surrender the policy no. 22301141. Also kindly return my amount invested as per the Market appreciation rate. 8. Why would customers raise a complain if there is no problem at your end? PNB MetLife agent gave completely wrong information that it is one-time investment. Looks like Your agent has transferred funds from my previous policy (00233506) to new policy as a first premium payment .

There are so many fraud complaints raised by customers against PNB MetLife, same are highlighted on internet. 9. It is also said that those agents were fired from PNB Metlife because they sold policies by giving false commitments. Why should customers suffer because of your agent’s fraud?
