I had bought Racold Altro 2 Plus Water heater in winters 2014 from an authorized retailer. The first winter season it worked well.Beginning of 2015 winter season , it was functioning for initial few days before it stopped working in Oct 2015. I called up the service center and I was told that I will have to pay Rs 500 service charge and cost of repair of faulty components if any. The service person attended my complaint and identified that the Geyser Element has got damaged. They replaced it and I was charged Rs 1500 which I paid. 4 months later the same fault repeated and this time Element as well as Thermostat is found faulty and they are again insisting of Rs 1900 payment for replacements.

Feel deeply regretted to say Racold is only flaunting its brand equity and selling cheap quality products in India. I dont see any reason for the company to complete Geyser to be replaced with new complete free of cost. I cant just keep paying Rs 3000 for fault and maintenance annually for a product which costed me 8000, for the reason of their own bad quality manufacturing. The element that the geyser has is proprietary and is not available in grey markets at lower costs. What should I do with the product , dump it or keep it.
